CE-DictPlus is a free Chinese–English language learning platform aimed at students studying Mandarin, particularly those preparing for the HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì) examinations. We have been building and refining Chinese language learning tools since 2015.

The site is built on the open-source CC-CEdict Chinese–English dictionary and extends it with a suite of interactive tools designed to make studying characters, vocabulary, radicals, and grammar faster and more effective — whether you are a complete beginner or working towards the advanced HSK levels.

CE-DictPlus provides a growing set of tools, all free to use:

• Chinese–English Dictionary — search by English keyword, Pinyin (with or without tone marks), Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese characters.
• Grammar Bank — a reference library of Mandarin grammar patterns with explanations and example sentences.
• Radical Explorer — browse all Chinese radicals by stroke count in both Simplified and Traditional forms, with linked character lists.
• Classifier (Measure Word) Lookup — find the correct measure word for any noun, or find all nouns that use a given classifier.
• HSK 2.0 Vocabulary Lists — all 5,000 words across HSK levels 1–6 in a browsable, filterable card format with stroke-order diagrams.
• HSK 3.0 Vocabulary Lists — the full new HSK 3.0 curriculum covering 11,000+ words from HSK 1 through to HSK 7–9.
• Character PDF Generator — generate printable writing practice sheets for any selection of characters from the HSK lists.
